You already have an audience, somewhere else

You have an audience: readers, subscribers, a community that follows you on YouTube or on social media. What you do not have is a place your videos belong to. Videas opens a channel under your own brand, on your own domain name, where your shows sit in sections and play with no advertising.

What holds a media outlet back from moving

  • Afraid of being pulled again?

France-Soir lost 300,000 subscribers overnight. On a Videas channel, nobody but you can close the tap.

  • A bill that climbs with the audience?

That is why BTLV left Vimeo. At Videas the rate card is public, and it is not renegotiated because you are doing well.

  • A whole catalog to move?

Our team moves your replays off Vimeo, YouTube or a Drive, at no charge and with no break for your subscribers.

  • Your reports lost among suggestions?

The Videas player shows no advertising, and no competitor's thumbnail at the end of a story.

An edited channel, not a folder of files

Your shows filed the way you schedule them

In Videas every show has its section and every season its playlist. France-Soir publishes “Le Défi de la vérité” and “L'Entretien essentiel” there, next to its debates.

Your logo, your colors, your domain

The brand holds from the home page through to the emails sent to your members. France-Soir runs its own channel at videos.francesoir.fr.

Input with characters masked by black dots

Open, password-protected or members only

In Videas one section opens to everyone, another sits behind a password, a third shows only to members who are signed in.

Statistics graphical interface

What each programme actually did

Videas Analytics counts plays, hours watched and completion rate, show by show — with no algorithm standing between your figures and you.

Your channel online in three steps

  • Upload your videos to Mediasbox

Shows, interviews and reports land in an indexed media library, where Videas encodes them for adaptive streaming.

  • Build your schedule in Channels

You create the sections, the playlists and the pages of the channel, then you point your own domain name at it.

  • Publish, then measure with Analytics

The channel goes live, the player embeds into your articles, and Analytics tells you what each show did.

What sits under your channel

Home page, sections, player and emails carry your logo, your colors and your typography.

What others already run on their own channel

  • 300,000subscribers wiped with the channel, and four years off YouTube

A newsroom broadcasting under its own name

France-Soir reopened its channel at videos.francesoir.fr, with its shows filed by section and its player embedded in the articles on the site.

  • 4,000 hof replays and video podcasts, ten years of production

A whole catalog back on the shelf

BTLV left Vimeo when the bill started tracking its audience. Its subscribers find everything in one place again, inside its WordPress site.

  • Zerocookies, and no thumbnail suggested at the end of a session

A player that disappears into the site

Bodytime is not a media outlet but a fitness coaching brand: it delivers its programmes inside its own website, through a player in its own colors.

Catalog of videos, seasons and attached files

One catalog, all your shows

Videos, seasons, attachments and press kits in one place: the media library and the channel read the same holdings, with nothing uploaded twice.

Your members and their access

Who holds an account, who gets into which section. On a channel with individual accounts, Videas also keeps each person's viewing history.

What lands, show by show

Plays, hours watched, completion rate, device and bandwidth. You can see where the audience drops off before you schedule the next one.
Payments and paid access dashboard

Paid access, if you want it

A single show or a whole section can be sold, and Videas takes an all-inclusive 15%. The detail of collecting the money lives on the page devoted to selling.

The player stays yours, start to finish

The Videas player embeds into your articles as readily as into your channel: the embed code drops into a WordPress page the way it drops into any other CMS. It runs no advertising, suggests no video at the end of a story and sets no advertising cookie. Streaming is adaptive, from a phone on 4G to the television in the living room. And it carries your logo, your colors and your typography — not ours.

A content's access setting: public, private or members only.

Who watches what, and from which site

In Videas every programme carries its own setting: open to everyone, password-protected, restricted to signed-in members, or limited to the domains the player agrees to load on. Files are hosted in France, with French hosting providers, under GDPR, with redundant backups. And nobody other than you decides to take a video off your channel.

What Videas does not do

Nobody will land on your channel by chance: there is no recommendation engine. And we do not sell advertising space — no ad network behind your player, so no revenue per thousand views. The audience is yours to bring; our job is making sure nobody takes it away.

What a channel and its delivery cost

  • €10

a month for the channel, €10 more for your own domain

  • €0.20

per hour of video stored, every month

  • €0.02

per gigabyte delivered, the first terabyte free

There is no subscription: you draw on a prepaid credit wallet that you top up whenever you like, and the rate card is public. Five hundred hours of programming on your own domain comes to €120 a month — €100 of storage, €10 of channel, €10 of domain — plus €20 if your viewers pull two terabytes in the month, the first one being free. And our team moves your catalog off Vimeo, YouTube, Drive, Dropbox or OneDrive at no charge.

What our customers say about us

Pour aller plus loin...

Live first, then the replay minutes later

A channel does not run on replays alone. With Videas Stream your live goes out from that same channel through OBS, vMix or Wirecast, the built-in chat lets viewers react while you are on air, and the recording joins your schedule the moment you stop.

Frequently asked questions

Can I host my whole catalog, with no volume ceiling?

Yes. Videas sets no cap on the number of videos and no monthly bandwidth quota: you pay for what you store and for what your viewers actually watch. BTLV moved more than four thousand hours of replays and video podcasts to us, built up over ten years of production.

Can my channel be public, private or members only?

All three, section by section. One show can stay open to everyone, another sit behind a password, a third be visible only to signed-in members. In Videas the setting changes at any time, without republishing the video or moving the address it already lives at.

Can I stream live from my channel?

Yes, with Videas Stream. The live goes out from the same channel as your replays, encoded through OBS, vMix or Wirecast, and the built-in chat lets viewers react while you are on air. The moment you stop, the recording joins your schedule alongside the rest of the catalog.

Can I charge for access to some programmes?

Yes. A single show, a whole season or the entire channel can be sold outright, rented or put behind a subscription, and Videas takes 15% of each sale, payment fees included. How the money is collected is set out in full on our page about selling videos.

Can the channel live on my own domain name?

Yes, for €10 more a month. France-Soir runs its own at videos.francesoir.fr, with its shows filed by section. Your viewers never see a Videas address: the channel, the player and the emails sent to your members all carry your name and your brand.

Can I use the player alone, on the site I already have?

Yes, with no channel at all. The Videas embed code drops into a WordPress page the way it drops into any other CMS, and the player starts with no advertising, no advertising cookie and no suggested video. Bodytime runs its coaching programmes that way, inside its own site.

Do I need a developer to build the channel?

No. You upload your videos to Mediasbox, you create your sections and pages in Channels, you publish. The one technical step is pointing your domain name, and our team does it with you. BTLV and Bodytime both arrived through a developer, then carried on without one.

Are my videos hosted in France?

Yes, with French hosting providers, under GDPR, with no transfer outside the European Union. The player sets no advertising cookie and no ad network follows your viewers around. Backups are redundant, and nobody other than you can pull a programme off your channel.

Does Videas suit a local web TV or a small newsroom?

Yes. There is no subscription floor, no commitment and no annual contract to negotiate: a channel costs €10 a month and the rest follows what you store and deliver. BTLV, recognized as an online press outlet, keeps ten years of archives with a small team.

Can I customize the player and the pages of my channel?

Yes, all of it. Logo, colors, typography, home page, sections, player and emails are set from Channels, without touching any code. The player carries your brand and nothing else: no imposed logo, no advertising banner, no thumbnails of videos that are not yours.
