Data and security

5 questions · 1:41
  1. In the EU, on servers that Videas owns and runs. Storage, encoding, streaming, transcription, analytics: everything runs on our own infrastructure. We depend on no one but ourselves.

  2. No. Your videos are streamed: the viewer receives small pieces as the video plays, never a complete file they could keep. The links expire very quickly, so a copied link will not work anywhere else. And you choose which sites the video can play on. To be honest, though: if someone films their screen, no one can stop that.

  3. The people you choose. It is set video by video: public, private, unlisted or password-protected. If it is for your teams, your colleagues simply sign in with their company account. And you can create groups, so that everyone sees only what concerns them.

  4. No. First, subtitle transcription is done on our own servers. Then, for the AI options, such as correcting or translating subtitles, or suggesting a title and chapters, we only send the text to our provider. Never the image, never the sound. And that text is not used to train its models. These options are optional, and the list of our subprocessors is public.

  5. A data processing agreement. You are the controller, and we are your processor. Our own subprocessors are listed publicly, with the country of each one. And if we add a new one, you are notified by email thirty days in advance. You can then object to it.
