Frequently asked questions
Do I need an account to use these tools?
Not to try them. You drop your file, the processing starts and the result appears on screen. The free account is asked for when you take the work away — download, embed, publish — and to translate subtitles. Whatever you have already done is attached to it when you sign up.
What are the limits without an account?
Two gigabytes per file, ten minutes of video or audio, and seven days of retention. All three are stated before the upload rather than discovered once processing ends. From an account, size rises to one hundred gigabytes, duration is no longer capped and the file stays as long as you want.
Is there a watermark or any advertising?
No watermark, no advertising, no third-party logo. What comes out is usable as it is: an SRT file drops onto any edit, a hosted video plays with no overlay. Free is not a degraded version of the paid product, it is simply a shorter task.
Which file formats are accepted?
The common audio and video formats: MP4, MOV, WebM, MP3, WAV. The transfer tool also takes any other kind of file — images, PDFs, archives — since all it does is carry them. The ten-minute limit only applies to media: video and audio files.
How long does processing take?
A few minutes for ten minutes of video, which is the maximum without an account. You do not have to stay on the page: processing carries on and the result waits for you. The time depends mostly on how long the file is, very little on the language.
What happens to the files I upload?
They serve the processing you asked for, and nothing else: never scanned for other purposes, never indexed, never used to train a model. No content is read for advertising or resold. You can delete them at any time, and uploads made without an account erase themselves.
What happens after seven days?
The file dropped without an account and everything built on it — share link, subtitles, transcript — are erased automatically. It is not a reminder to set: nothing survives the week. Creating a free account before the deadline attaches the work to it and makes it permanent.
Can I chain two tools on the same file?
Yes, and that is the normal path: the transcript feeds the subtitles, and the subtitles feed the translation. You do not upload the file again in between, and nothing is processed twice — the text you already proofread and its timecodes carry across.
How is this different from the same features inside the platform?
It is the same engine — adaptive encoding, speech recognition, editing. What changes is the scale: a tool handles one file, once. The platform handles a library, teams, per-space permissions, an API and processing applied to a whole catalogue in one go.
What does it cost if I create an account?
There is no subscription: €0.20 per hour of video stored per month, €0.02 per GB delivered, and €0.10 per minute subtitled per language generated. You get €5 in credits at signup, then €5 free every month. The full breakdown sits on the Pricing page.
Why do some tools say “Coming soon”?
Because their engine already runs inside the platform, but the public version that needs no account is still to be built. They appear anyway, so the family listing is complete and you can see what is coming. They are not clickable until their page exists.
Can I use them for professional work?
Yes, without reservation: no watermark, no compulsory credit, no usage restriction on what comes out. A subtitle generated here can go straight onto a company channel or a social feed. These are the same processes billed inside the platform, run on a shorter file.
