Uscreen charges $199 per month ($149 on annual billing) plus $1.99 per active subscriber; their 5% applies only to one-off purchases and rentals, and Stripe's fees are still yours to pay, plus 0.7% on recurring payments. With no three-figure subscription and no per-subscriber cost, Videas stays cheaper as long as your average revenue per subscriber is under ~$20/month, whatever your subscriber count.
Does Videas offer mobile and TV apps?
Native apps are currently under development. Currently, Videas channels are accessible via browser on all devices: mobile, tablet and connected TV.
How do I migrate from Uscreen?
Videas offers an assisted migration service. Our team handles the transfer of your files, metadata and organization.
Does the player work without cookies?
Yes. The Videas player sets no cookies or trackers. Your clients see no consent banner related to videos.
Where is the data hosted?
All data, including videos and client data, is hosted in France. GDPR compliance is native, with no transfer outside the European Union.
How do I get paid on my sales?
Through Stripe, into your own account: buyers pay in a checkout in your colours and the funds come straight to you. Videas takes 15% of the pre-tax price, payment processing included — on a title listed at €20 excluding tax, you keep €17. VAT is added to the listed price depending on the buyer's country, and none of it is yours.
Can I publish my platform on my own domain?
Yes, for €10 per month on top of the channel's €10. The SSL certificate is issued and renewed automatically. You start on a Videas address and switch over whenever you like, with nothing to rebuild.
Can I stream live to my audience?
Yes. You stream from OBS, vMix or any RTMP encoder, and the live shows up on the page or channel you chose; access there follows the rules you set — private link, password or viewer account. As soon as it ends, the recording lands in your media library like any other video.
Will Videas bring me subscribers?
No. Videas does not bring you an audience: a channel does not rank on its own, and your viewers are yours to attract. We provide the platform, the selling and the statistics — not the public.
Can I get my catalogue back if I stop?
Yes, whenever you want. You select your titles in the media library and download the source files in bulk. Metadata — names, descriptions, tags, durations — exports separately, as CSV or Excel.
