Who it is for

You want to sell your videos to your students or your audience.

What it settles

  • A branded site, on its own domain
  • Subscription, single purchase, or both
  • Paid classes stay on display

Products used

You can sell your filmed classes from your own school site with a Videas channel on your own domain. Each class is free, open to registered users or paid, by subscription, by single purchase or both, with prices entered including tax. A paid class stays visible, locked, and selling opens once Videas has validated the activity.

“Atelier Lumière” is a photography school invented for this walkthrough. Camille films her classes and wants to sell them to her students without handing the relationship to anyone else.

Classes filmed with nowhere to sell them

Posted openly, they earn nothing. Behind a form, nobody finds them. On a course marketplace, you rent your own audience from somebody else, and the student ends up belonging to the platform.

Sell your classes online from a site of your own

The site carries the school’s logo, colours and address. Each class is set separately, and the badges say at a glance what comes with a plain account and what is paid for.

A paid class stays on display: the video is locked, the page is not, with its title, its description and its ways in. That page is what sells the class, and it would sell nothing if it disappeared.

There are two ways to pay, and they live together: a subscription that opens a set of classes, and a single purchase on the ones Camille prices individually. She decides class by class, in the back office, with prices entered including tax.

Students who have an account with you

Who registered, who subscribed, who came back: the list is the school’s, not a platform’s. That is the whole point of running your own site, and it is what lets a second course be sold to the people who took the first.

For an ordered path with progress and quizzes rather than a catalogue, see the training path scenario, and for a studio extending its in-person classes, Yoga Rivage.

How it works, step by step

  1. The school's site

Its logo, its colours and its own address. The badges say straight away what comes with an account and what is paid for.

  2. A class to unlock

The video is locked, but the page stays public: title, description, a button to the offers and the single purchase. The class does its own selling.

  3. The formulas

Both subscriptions side by side, prices shown including tax, and what each one unlocks. The visitor creates their account at the moment of buying.

  4. The price of a class

Behind the scenes, Camille decides whether the class sits inside the subscriptions and whether it also carries a single price. Prices are entered including tax.

  5. The subscriptions

Each formula with its price, its period, what it opens and how many people are currently subscribed.

  6. The students

Who registered, who subscribed, who came back recently. The counters at the top give the state of the site at a glance.

What our customers say about us

Frequently asked questions

How do you sell filmed classes without a course marketplace?

On a channel in your name and on your own domain, where each class is set separately: free, open to registered users, or paid. Your students have an account with you, and you see who they are.

Can you sell by subscription and singly at the same time?

Yes. A class can sit inside the subscriptions and also carry a single price, or only one of the two. You decide class by class, and the visitor picks whichever suits them.

Does a paid class stay visible to visitors?

Yes: the video is locked but the page stays public, with its title, its description, a button to the offers and the single purchase. The class does its own selling instead of hiding.

Are prices entered including tax?

Yes, prices are set including tax, from 2 € up. What the visitor sees on the offers page is what they will pay.

When does the visitor create an account?

At the moment of buying. Nobody is asked to register before they have decided, which is one of the reasons a locked class keeps its public page.

Can you see how many active subscribers you have?

Yes, each formula shows its price, its period, what it opens and its number of active subscribers. The member list adds who registered, who subscribed and who came back recently.

Can you offer a free class to draw people in?

Yes, by opening a class to anyone who creates an account. It is the most useful one to give away: it lets somebody judge how you teach before buying anything.

Can you attach exercises or a PDF to a class?

Yes, downloadable documents sit under the video. On a paid class they only show to people who have access to it.

When can you start selling?

Selling opens once Videas has validated the activity. Before that you can build the site, film, file and price everything.

Is this different from selling a training path?

Yes: here the student picks from a catalogue, there they follow lessons in a set order with their progress and quizzes. Both exist; the path version is a scenario of its own.
