Sell your videos from your channel: Stripe Connect, subscriptions and sales tracking

Channel monetisation is now open to everyone — connect your own Stripe account, sell one-off, as a rental or by subscription, and follow your revenue in a dedicated dashboard. Videas takes a 15% commission, all-inclusive.

A Videas channel was already your video site: your domain, your categories, your sign-ups. What it lacked was a till. Here it is — and it pays into your account, not ours.

Your payments, in your Stripe account

From Settings → Monetisation, you connect your own Stripe account through Stripe Connect. If you don’t have one, Stripe creates it along the way: director identity, company details, the bank account payouts land in. Once verification clears, monetisation is live.

Stripe handles every sensitive part — capturing and storing bank details, PCI-DSS compliance, fraud prevention, identity checks. Videas never stores a card number or an IBAN.

The model is simple, with no setup fee:

Videas commission 15% of the pre-tax price, payment processing included
Setup fee none
Payouts daily by default, within 2 to 7 business days — frequency adjustable in Stripe

A customer buys a video for €10? You keep €8.50, paid into your Stripe account. And if you refund a sale, Videas returns its commission — less the processing fees Stripe does not give back.

Three ways to sell, and they stack

Switch a piece of content to Paid and the Monetisation tab appears. Add as many prices as you need:

  • Purchase — permanent access to the content, with optional download.
  • Rental — time-limited access, for whatever duration you choose.
  • Subscription — recurring access to a set of content, either as a recurring plan (free trial optional) or as a one-off payment to sell a bundle.

The payment routes stack without stepping on each other: the same content can be sold individually and included in a subscription — the customer gets in as soon as either one clears.

Promo codes you can actually track

Welcome discount, seasonal push, partner code: coupons are created under Sales → Product catalogue → Coupons, as a percentage or a fixed amount, with validity dates and usage limits.

Customers get them two ways: by typing the code at checkout, or by automatic pre-application when they land on a campaign page built with the Page Builder. Conversion tracking lives on the coupon itself.

A real dashboard, not just a counter

The Sales section answers three different questions, in three views:

  • Overview — revenue, subscription revenue, one-off revenue, active subscribers, average sale, the revenue trend, the subscription/one-off split, plus the Best-selling content and Popular plans rankings.
  • Transactions — every payment, searchable by email and filterable by status (Completed, Expired, Refunded, Cancelled). This is the view to open when a customer asks about a payment.
  • Revenue & billing — one statement per month: gross sales, net of tax, VAT, Videas commission and your net, with the month’s sales export as a spreadsheet and the fee invoice as a PDF. Enough to close a month without reconstructing anything.

Getting started

Activation needs the Channel owner role and fits in one sitting: connect Stripe, set a first price, publish. The rest — subscriptions, coupons, statements — comes when you need it.
