Do I need a subscription to use Videas?
No. Videas has no monthly plan: you top up a prepaid credit wallet whenever you decide to, and nothing is drawn down in the months you use nothing. Five euros of credits are given to you when you sign up, then five euros every month, which do not carry over.
What does subtitling a video cost?
Ten cents per minute transcribed, transcription and subtitles being the same line item. A ten-minute video therefore comes to one euro, and three ten-minute videos in a month to three euros — less than the five euros of credits given to you monthly. There is no tier and no minimum.
Can I try it without creating an account?
Yes, and that is the point. Subtitling, transcription and hosting accept your file with no sign-up, up to ten minutes and two gigabytes. For translation, the upload and the editing work without an account; it is the translation itself that asks for one, free of charge.
How do I send a 40 GB master to a client?
You drop it into your library, you click Share, and Videas gives you a link. There is no recompression and no size ceiling. Your client opens the link in a browser, without creating an account, and watches the cut streamed before deciding whether to download the file.
Does the client have to download the video to review it?
No. The link opens a player: they watch it streamed, on a computer or a phone, with nothing to install. Downloading is a separate setting, switched off by default — you turn it on to deliver the sources, you leave it off for a simple review.
Does the share link expire?
By default yes, after seven days, and you can push the date back or switch expiry off altogether for a permanent link. You can also cap the number of times it opens, or set a password. These settings change afterwards without altering the URL you already sent.
Can I deliver on my own domain name?
Yes, by opening a channel and connecting a domain you already own: count ten euros a month for the channel and ten for the domain, drawn from your credits, with no commitment. Without a channel the link stays on a Videas address — but the player already carries your brand.
Can the player carry my logo and my colors?
Yes, at no extra cost. The logo is uploaded once for your whole workspace, and the theme and accent color are fixed in a preset that the player picks up. Your deliveries therefore carry your brand without your having opened a channel or connected a domain.
Can I get an SRT file, or a video with the subtitles burned in?
Both. Videas exports your subtitles as .srt or .vtt, to reimport wherever you like, and can also produce an MP4 with the subtitles burned into the image — the format social networks expect, and the platforms that will not take a separate file.
Do my past deliveries stay accessible?
Yes. Expiry applies to the link, never to the file: the video stays in your library, with its title, its date and its keywords, and comes back through search. A cut delivered three years ago reopens, gets reshared, or serves as a demo for a new client.
